Why Oaxaca?
Oaxaca was a cornerstone in the history of colonization in Mexico and is the home for a large community of indigenous communities that are still connected to their cultures, ancestral practices, and native language. Going to Oaxaca is therefore like a time capsule where you can imagine a world pre-colonization that awakens so much in us- from pride to grief to nostalgia about where we come from & the story of our ancestors.
